InnoTech developed a custom software solution that ultimately lowered the municipality’s contractor permit system expenses – while actually improving service. Before implementation, mail-in permits would take up to a week to get back. Now a contractor can get a routine permit in less than five minutes at any time and on any day of the week, allowing work to begin immediately. A side benefit? Internally, staff time is more effectively spent handling complex permits and issues.

The new system integrates with several internal databases to manage contractors and city licenses (only current contractors can pull permits online), issue permit flow into downstream systems including inspections, and integrate with the cashier system for financial reporting.
